"Big Ideas" into Reality - A Chance to Get Involved

Do you like the idea of enhanced water recreation in Evanston ("Water, Water Everywhere")? Of improved safety and enjoyment for pedestrians and bicyclists in Evanston ("Walk and Roll")? Of universal preschool in Evanston ("Little and Learning")? Or maybe you choose another of Evanston 150's "10 Big Ideas" as your personal favorite. Evanston 150, a community-wide initiative looking ahead to the City's 150th anniversary in 2013, will host a Get to Work Workshop on Saturday, January 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Ave.

A project of the Evanston Commununity Foundation, Evanston 150 led a year-long effort to engage community residents in envisioning the City's future. Project leaders are now inviting Evanston residents to help turn the chosen 10 ideas into reality.
