On Friday, July 22, 2016, the Southeast Evanston Association (SEA) kicked off its first BACK YARD HAPPY HOUR.
Streets Alive! Another Success
Evanston celebrated getting outside and enjoying fresh air, walking, biking and enjoying a summer's afternoon with friends and family at the third annual Streets Alive! festival on August 14. Taking up nearly a mile of Main Street from Chicago Avenue to Dodge Avenue, the festival offered a variety of activities and informational booths ranging from the City of Evanston's Water Department to community organizations.
Southeast Evanston Association was a sponsor for the third year in a row. The SEA booth offered memberships, literature, and T-Shirts plus conversation and information. SEA Board members were on hand the entire day.
Northwestern University/City Committee Meeting About Proposed Dorm
A special meeting of the Northwestern University/City Committee was held August 16 at 7pm to discuss a proposed dorm building on the Evanston campus.
Harley-Clark Mansion Discussion Scheduled
The Harley Clarke Mansion will be a discussion item at the September 12, 2016 City Council meeting. The item was originally scheduled to be discussed on August 15 but will be requested to be held until the September meeting so that all members of the council can be present for the discussion.
