Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI)

As a public service to our membership, the SEA Board would like to introduce this unique opportunity for Evanston residents.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) is a vibrant, member-driven program of Northwestern University’s School of Professional Studies. OLLI offers year-round sessions of academic study groups: small two-hour, seminar-style discussions that meet weekly in the daytime on Northwestern’s Evanston and Chicago campuses. Study groups are proposed, designed, and facilitated by our members and cover a wide range of topics including civic engagement, contemporary issues, creative arts, history and government, literature, science and technology, and social sciences.

OLLI is open to all adults, but the programing is specifically designed for adults 50 and over and provides members the opportunity to engage with peers who have similar interests. OLLI members are composed of seasoned learners from all walks of life who pursue learning for pure pleasure: there are no tests and no grades.

If any SEA member is interested in learning more about OLLI’s structure, study groups, and events, please attend one of our free information sessions:
