The Longstanding Civic Voice for Southeast Evanston

Home of Charles G. Dawes, former Vice President of the United States. A large, historic brick house with turreted towers, surrounded by trees and greenery, under a clear blue sky.

Since 1960, the Southeast Evanston Association (SEA) has brought neighbors together to represent and strengthen Evanston’s most distinctive neighborhood. For more than six decades, SEA has served as a civic forum where residents, board members, and community leaders engage on issues affecting the neighborhood—from land use and preservation to parks, the lakefront, public safety, and quality of life.

Today, SEA continues that tradition by encouraging informed participation, constructive dialogue, and thoughtful stewardship of the places that make Southeast Evanston unique.
